More Inktober

I also did these drawings of my sister's two kittens, and my other sister's dog, they deserved to have their own post.

Inktober

So one thing I did now that I have a Twitter account is participate in an activity called "Inktober", in which the goal is to draw something in ink every day for the month of October. Even though I prefer media that have either an eraser or an undo button, it was still fun. A few of the drawings I did are below: More...

Tweetin'

Still working on that "posting more frequently" thing.  In the meantime, did you know I have a Twitter account?  it is at https://twitter.com/andrewg2442 and I have been posting a few sketches and works-in-progress there.  Stop by and say hello!

Happy New Year!

Have another New Year's Manatee!  It's still technically January, so this is almost timely.  Two years ago, I didn't get around to posting anything until March, so at this rate, in a few years, I will be posting things before I draw them.  Anyway, this looks to be an interesting year - hope yours is  a good one too!

Fantasy Basketball Fanart

While I'm posting things, here is some fanart I made.  I am a big fan of illustrator Sam Bosma, and when he came out with his comic Fantasy Basketball, I was inspired to do this drawing of one of the characters.  You can download a copy here.  (Seriously, you should, it's pretty great.)

Voltron Begins

Everyone remembers Voltron, right?  I haven't posted much lately, but I have been busy with a class - it is a mentorship through SmART School with Dan Dos Santos. This was our first project - we were supposed to take our favorite cartoon as a kid and paint a hypothetical movie poster for a live-action remake of the show.  I don't know if this succeeds as a poster, but I hope it conveys the most important message of the show, which was that eight-year old me thought it would be really awesome to fly around in a giant robot lion.

Actually, adult me thinks that would still be pretty awesome.

Anyway, I'm learning a lot from the class and have gotten some really great feedback.  I have two more assignments which I hope to put up here when I finish them.
